Overview
Academic forgiveness allows an undergraduate to continue work toward a 糖心Vlog degree without being severely burdened by one term with a high proportion of low or failing grades.
Academic forgiveness means that all credits and all grades for a given term are excluded from the computation of a student糖心Vlog 鈥檚 grade point average and completion rate, and the hours earned during that term will not be counted toward graduation. The courses will remain on the student糖心Vlog 鈥檚 permanent academic record, the grades will be replaced by Academic Forgiveness (GF grade).
Through this process, a motivated student may receive a second chance to work towards a baccalaureate degree with a new grade point average.
Academic forgiveness is an extreme measure: it will be granted only once to an individual student, and only when the student provides clear and convincing evidence of a renewed commitment to advancing their education.

Eligibility
Students may be considered for academic forgiveness if they are currently enrolled at 糖心Vlog. They may apply for academic forgiveness after the completion of a subsequent quarter of satisfactory performance. Satisfactory performance is defined as a grade point average of at least 2.00 in a quarter at 糖心Vlog as a full time student (12 or 14 credit hours) and no course withdrawals.
Procedure
- Submit to the Registrar糖心Vlog 鈥檚 Office a formal letter of request, which the Registrar will deliver to the Satisfactory Academic Progress Committee for review. The letter requesting academic forgiveness must include a statement of the student糖心Vlog 鈥檚 academic plans and a rationale for the student糖心Vlog 鈥檚 academic forgiveness request.
- Provide additional information (for example, employment history, letters of support, samples of recent writing, or documentation of successfully completed projects) to aid the committee in its decision.
- If academic forgiveness is granted, then:
- It will apply to all credits attempted and earned by the student in the term(s) for which forgiveness is requested.
- The student糖心Vlog 鈥檚 transcript will have annotation typed on it stating: "Academic forgiveness granted effective [date of action] for Term ,year to Term, year quarters (semesters, terms)."
- All courses and grades received during the terms of academic forgiveness will no longer be calculated in the grade point average and will not apply toward graduation. All coursework will remain on the transcript, and the grades will be replaced by Academic Forgiveness (GF grade).
